A pre conference workshop on Pavement Recycling (co-organised action by NTUA and the Technical Chamber of Greece) hosted 80 participants and guests.

The main Conference was attended by about 320 participants and 60 accompanying persons from 32 countries and 5 continents.

After a rigorous review by the Scientific Committee 169 papers were accepted and included in 2 volumes of Proceedings and an accompanying CD ROM. Additionally, 9 presentations were hosted during the COST 351 Workshop on Water Movements in Road Pavements and Embankments and 6 during the DAWG Forum on Pavement Performance Data Analysis.

All sessions were well attended with stimulating discussions. Four social events were organised during the Conference, two for the accompanying persons (Athens sightseeing and Olympic Stadium and a visit to the National Archaeological Museum and Monastiraki), and two social events for everyone (a visit to Acropolis and a visit to Cape Sounio).
